Orientation Session on Instructional Design for K-12 Teachers

K-12 Teachers in India, ICT integration is no longer a choice – it is a necessity! The current generation is out there in cyberspace, one step ahead of us, the teachers. And, if we don’t catch up, we will soon be obsolete. A number of schools have embraced ICT integrated teaching, and are ready to move beyond using existing material, to creating their own multimedia material. And, yes, they want to learn everything about Instructional Design.

So, we found ourselves invited by a renowned school in South Delhi, to introduce a set of handpicked teachers to Instructional Design. The purpose of the session was to ascertain where they were in the technology integration framework, and to chalk out a plan for moving to the level where they will create their own material. Needless to say, the teachers are very excited about this program – for who doesn’t like to be empowered?
