Gamification is being increasingly explored as a way to motivate learners. This short course on Gamification in Learning is meant to help you develop a comprehensive understanding of the concept. It addresses the difference between gamification and game-based learning, and explores how game-based elements can enhance learning.  While games add an element of motivation, they also increase the cognitive load and hence must be used carefully. To address this aspect, the course presents an analysis of situations that will benefit or not benefit from gamification.

    This course covers an important aspect of learner engagement in instructional design. Key topics have been covered in a comprehensive manner.

    Course content is great. But some of the questions in the assessment were too specific to IT sector to understand the feasibility and effectiveness in gamification. It is hard for people from non-tech/IT background.
