This module is a single unit from a course that imparts micro-skills to practicing Instructional Designers. In this sample module, the micro skill to Create a Program Outline is being covered. The module is designed as follows:

 ·         Principles: Well established theories that impact the creation of a Program Outline are explained through video

·         Reflections: Mistakes that IDs make when designing a Program Outline is addressed as Q & A through video

·         Exhibit: An example of a Program Outline is shown

·         Summary: Key points from all the above is summarized as simple text.

 


Work Sample 2: A Multi-lingual Online Certification Program on Financial Literacy

ID Mentors provided ID services right from the design of the program to develop the complete set of storyboards for a 30-hour online program on financial literacy for the rural Indian women. It is called the GramShakti Certification program. Here is a press release on the program from our client TrainingCentral Solutions who developed this program for CRISIL Foundation.

Work Sample 3: ILT

Here is a sample from an ILT that we designed for a client on Angel Investing. This sample includes the following:

1.       PowerPoint Slides to be used in class

2.       Handouts to participants

3.       Job-Aid to be used by participants post-training (Learning Transfer)

 


Work Sample 4: Classroom Game

This is designed for students in Higher Education and is part of a program on Entrepreneurship. Right from Analyzing to Conceptualizing and Production, ID Mentors handled the entire task.

This is an activity in which students will go through the entire experience of setting up a start-up. It is spread over an 8-week period, during which they will go through the process of setting up a business as part of a team and complete everything required to start up such as:

·         Give the business an identity – an exciting name, and an even more exciting logo

·         Create a Business Essentials Checklist

·         Identify investment, regulatory tasks, marketing activities, and human resource needs

·         Prepare a Business Plan

This kit contains the following:

1.       Facilitator Kit – How to run and how to evaluate

2.       Student Handouts – Templates and Worksheets

3.       Progress Tracker – Visually capture the progress of each team over the 8-week period

Work Sample 6: Business Startup Simulation Design

This is the concept/design document of a simulation that we conceptualized for a client. We do not have the working simulation because it was developed by the client in-house.
